Map Sampler of England - 2nd phase

Thank you for all your kind comments. They always make my day.

Here is some progress of my map sampler:
Phase one - I embroidered all the boundary lines using back stitch in black.

Phase two - I am using outline stitch within the boundaries in different shiny silk colours.

It is not very easy to stitch with this type of thread (they make knots very easily and also after stitching for some time the thread begins to frail and come apart), but I thought it would help to make the colours stand out.

I have to admit that this work is kind of addicting - I am always looking for to add a new colour and see the general result: so far I am happy with it.

What is your opinion?

Have a great week

Very nice! It's fun to see this coming together. I don't know that I'd have the patience to stitch a map sampler.

I love seeing the progress you're making on this map, and how you did a make-it-yourself pattern, fantastic idea!

Hi Cristina- It's lovely to meet you via your WIPOcalypse signup! Thanks for joining the SAL. I've added you to the participant list and my personal blog reader so I can peek in on progress.

I think your map is looking fantastic - freehand work always fascinates me. I've never had the courage to try it!

Happy stitching,
Mel.

Wow, that's a really interesting project. And it looks great on the coffee-dyed fabric.
